The power of Jesus Christ within us is much bigger than any power that is in this word or this present evil age. God is greater than the wiles of Satan or anything he can think to throw at us. God Causes Us to Overcome Satan's Attacks – Silencing Satan
It seems today that in a lot of Churches that they believe that Satan and his minion of the damned are behind everything bad that happens to us.
I have heard that age old question time and time again, asked by the multitudes, wanting to know why bad things happen to good people. The answer to that is simple; there are no good people. A better question would be why do good things happen to bad people.
The devil is not our only foe; we also wrestle against this world and the flesh. However, we will not get out of this world without facing and warning against that ancient enemy of the souls of man.
The Devil's Time Honored Strategy.
One of the chief weapons that Satan uses against the Church is the fact that they are lazy and do not study the Bible the way they should, and we Christians as a whole do not realize just who we are in Christ and the power of His name. Man does not behave the right way, because he does not understand right. Through Jesus Christ, we are more than conquerors against the wiles of the Devil.
The devil is no dummy. Satan has been at this a long time, and he knows that if he can stroke your ego, and give you the things that you think that you want, then he will be able just to stand back and watch you destroy yourself with the cares of this world.
I remember living in Muscle Shoals, Alabama out in a small little section know as Ford City. I was residing in a 3,000 square foot fancy house with a 2,400 square foot beautiful second house that the kids used as a party room.
One night I looked around one night as an RV, two boats, a new Honda Goldwing, and five corvettes that I had collected, surrounded me. On a quite night you could hear all that junk rust. I had hundreds of thousands of dollars in the bank, and did not owe a dime to anyone, nor did we want for anything. I remember the thought that kept running through my mind. I am miserable; I would rather be dead.
When we run after this world with one hand, and try to take hold of the hand of God with the other, we find ourselves without strength and at the mercy of the devil. I heard how they capture monkeys for zoos. It seems they used to take a coconut and cut it in two and drill a hole through the top of one-half and run a cord through the hole and tie a peanut to it and wait.
When a monkey would happen by, he would see the coconut and his curiosity would get the best of him, and he would look inside and see the nut and grab it, and the hunters would come up and take him. All the monkey had to do was to let go of the peanut, but greed would not let him, and he was held fast by his greed.
In the 11th chapter of the book to the Hebrews, we call the hall of faith, speaks about Moses. The passage taught us that when he came to age refused to be called the son of pharaoh's daughter; he chose rather, to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season.
The Fight Was Fixed at Calvary and For Our Favor And Overcoming Satan's Attacks – Silencing Satan
The biggest mistake that you or I can make in spiritual warfare is to take our eyes off of Jesus. Jesus has already won the war, and we won. The battle belongs to the Lord, but the victory in Jesus is ours because He is our Savior forever.
In Ephesians Chapter 12 we see that the armor that we wear when we are fighting a war that is not carnal but spiritual in nature. We are to let God's Spirit work with our human spirits. We are then to let the power of God control our human souls which are the minds the wills and the emotions.
Obedience will control our arms and our heads and our feet and cause us to live the Life of Jesus from within. We put on the full armor of God to protect our conduct and thinking so we let our lights shine before men, and they glorify our Father who is in Heaven.
I can just see old Paul now, as he wrote down those words which are the marching orders for all Christians of all times to be strong in the Lord and the Power of His Might. Yes, greater is He who is within us than he that is in this old world. It doesn't say greater, are we.
As a matter of fact, we must humble ourselves and become like children and pray, because it is in our weakness that the power of God is perfected. No, we are not fighting the forces of darkness in high places in this present dark age in our limited strength. We are fighting that wickedness with the same power that raised Jesus from the dead more than two thousand years ago. We are fighting with this same power that raised Jesus from the dead and is now giving strength to our mortal bodies.
The Key To Victory Is Your Identity in Christ
Jesus' Word often reminds us that spiritual warfare not when we fight the devil it is when God gives us the strength to resist the devil and he has to flee from us. Real Christian warriors are not trying to fight the evil in our their strength, understandings, ability, and identity.
No, a thousand times no. We are standing after having done all to stand in The Uniform of the Righteous. We are to stand in the power of His might. As mere men and women, boys and girls, we have no authority against the forces of wickedness and darkness.
We are clothed in Christ (see Gal. 3:27). Paul tells us to “put on the Lord Jesus Christ…” (Rom. 13:14). It has to do with practical encouragement and remembering who Christ is and who we are when we are in Jesus the Christ. Jesus Will Cause Us To Overcoming Satan's Attacks – Silencing Satan
Behold the Lamb
I will forever lift my eyes to Calvary, to view that cross, like the old song say, where Jesus died for me. Oh' how marvelous was that Grace of God that caught my soul as it was falling. Yes, He did, He looked beyond my faults to see my needs. I will never get over the hill or beyond the cross. Beyond the cross is a dangerous place to be.
The power and the essence of the Christian faith had been stripped away by the latest iPhones. Why is this true? Because many of us have decided that we were not going to suffer when we are called unto suffering. No, we prefer to be pampered. We feel that the Church of this modern world is beyond the cross.
There is no upgrade to serving Jesus, the Christ. Take Him or Leave Him. You get what you see. There are no buckles, bell, ribbons or whistles. No gimmicks here. In fact, Behold the Lamb, slain from the foundation of the world. The crux of the whole matter is Christ and His righteousness; this is the only way to stand against the devil.
The key to victory is not three points, a joke, and a song and then we dismiss. It is not some principle, formula or strategy. Jesus is the answer!! The God-man, bloodied, battered, beaten and broken upon that old rugged Cross. We hold tight to this world's goods and say, “ cross your feet, Jesus, we don't have but three nails.” It is finished, the work was completed before this old world was ever swung into space. Find your true identity in Christ… and begin to live. Today.
