Jesus, (Click on the name of Jesus and turn up your volume. After the video, just click the little ” x ” in the tab to return here.) was a Jewish preacher and religious leader who has become the central figure of Christianity. Christians, (I am one) believe Jesus is the Son of God and the Messiah (Christ, the Anointed One) that was prophesied would come in the Old Testament.

Jesus being the fulfillment of the promised Redeemer is a blood simple truth which must be realize. Although surrounded by an invisible war raging on every front we are to be entirely dependent on Jesus understanding that though we are in the heat of the battle, the battle rages within us and belongs to the Lord.

When we are surrendered and totally committed to the Lordship of Jesus, we become entirely dependent on Jesus for each and every victory. We have victory in Jesus!

1st Corinthians 15:56-58 56 The sting of death is sin and the strength of sin is the law. 57 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. 58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.

Dependent On Jesus For The Victory

We do not fight for victory; Jesus gives it to us when our labor is in Him. Serving Jesus has a profound and an intensely practical application for each and every aspect of our daily struggles against the world, the flesh, and the Devil.

The unfortunate and erroneous belief of so many Christians who view the Bible as little more than a book of laws; filled with lists, rules, and principles that we obey in fear of Him, who polices the heavens causes their Christian service to be dull and dry. Dryness is not the message of the death, burial and resurrection (Gospel) of Jesus. He came that we might have LIFE and to have it more abundantly. We do not have to serve; we get to serve. Serving is so thrilling.

“The sting of death is sin and the power of sin is the law.” Sin’s power is in the law.

Romans 6:23 23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Dependent On Jesus For Eternal Life

The moment God saved you by His grace through your faith in Christ Jesus, there was a transaction that took place. The “Great Exchange” held.

2nd Corinthians 5:21 21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

Jesus took our sin and bore it on the cross, and we received His righteousness, and He presents us as His perfect, righteous bride, the Church, before God in exchange.

Dependent On Jesus means that when the Father looks at us, he sees Jesus. We are perfect before the eyes of He who cannot look upon sin. In God's sight, we are blameless and victorious without spot nor wrinkle.

Who's righteousness does the Father see when He looks at us? Since Jesus will never sin, Jesus won us eternal victory. To this Christian and servant of His Majesty, my total dependence on Jesus is the most beautiful words in my vocabulary.

Dependent On Jesus For Our Protection

Psalms 84:11 11 For the Lord God is a sun and shield: the Lord will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.

In the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
